Planning to Use Your Microphone:
1. If you want to use your microphone please unplug your
speakers.
2. Plug in to the
green socket
on the back or the front of your PC either a pair headphones or
iPod ear buds. |

Audio Help:
If your sound is breaking up or crackling it probably means that your
microphone volume is up to high.
Right click anywhere in the chat window and
choose
"Settings"
then adjust the sound down, others in the chatroom will help you
get your volume correct. |

To adjust your computers microphone volume:
Right
click on the little speaker icon in the system tray
(bottom
of your screen, toolbar)
beside the time. Choose your output device and adjust the volume. Or (see
below Operating Systems) |

Windows Vista
After right clicking
on the speaker icon in the System Tray,
choose "Recording Devices" you will see the microphone in the dialogue
box that comes up, double click on the default microphone and adjust the
volume slider down - if the microphone boost is all the way up reduce it to
half. |

WindowsXP
After
right clicking on the speaker icon in the System Tray, choose "Adjust Audio Properties" then choose the "Audio" tab and adjust
the Microphone volume
slider down.
